First meeting for volunteers will be on Wednesday, February 3rd at 5:30 p.m. in Conference Room 280 across from the media center. Everyone is welcome!
Congratulations go out to the swim team for their outstanding performance at this seasons culminating event, the Metro Meet. The meet hosts over 1000 swimmers from all around Georgia. The Water Warriors not only competed against top schools like Marist, Chattahoochee, and Westminster, but we also proved to be up to any challenge.
Freshman Samuel Boatwright placed 11th overall in the 50 freestyle. -Just wait until this jaguar of the water is a senior! There may be no record left unbroken!
Sam and three of his teammates, freshman Dillon Maebry, Sophomore Rehan Bhinwandalla, and Junior Neal Shadle placed 15th overall for the 200 Freestyle Relay. They swam a time that not only qualified them to participate in the upcoming State Meet, but they beat their old record by 1/4 of a second!
The girls squad is looking promising for next season as we prepare to bring both boys and girls to the state competition in 2011. In the meantime, keep your eyes on the pool and come support the athletes who will be representing NAHS at this year's State Meet, Saturday February 13th at Westminster's Aquatic Center.
