With the goal of Student Success, the Center’s mission is to educate, prepare, and equip students with the necessary skills to be self-sufficient, productive, and responsible citizens in a global and technological society. This SLC includes the departments of Business Education, Family and Consumer Science (FACS), and JROTC.

The United States Army's Junior Reserve Officers' Training Corps, or JROTC, is designed to teach high school students the value of citizenship, leadership, service to the community, personal responsibility, and a sense of accomplishment, while instilling in them selfesteem, teamwork, and self-discipline. Its focus is reflected in its mission statement, "To motivate young people to be better citizens."

This is a contractual agreement between the student, their parent(s) / guardian(s) and the Senior Army Instructor with regard to the JROTC (Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps) program. The student(s) and their parent(s)/guardian(s) are required to sign this contract if the student wishes to enroll in North Atlanta’s JROTC program.

To begin, it is important to note that the Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps or JROTC program:
· Is an established program with more than 75 years of service;
· Prepares cadets for adult life;
· Increases stay-in-school and graduation rates;
· Requires a small investment per student compared to program benefits, and
· Is not a military recruitment program.
