SCHOOL SAFETY FIRST:• Parents please do not check your student out between 3:00 pm and 3:15 pm• Student drop off and pick up is at the lower lot – by the track - not the lot where buses load• The attendance office is now located at the back of the school. Parents should park off of Kingswood Drive (street between school and church) and enter on that side building.
SENIOR CERTIFICATION NIGHT - Thursday, September 10 @ 6:30 in the Theater: MANDATORY meeting for all parents and seniors who intend to graduate May 24, 2010! Parents will receive a copy of the student’s transcript and other pertinent information regarding college applications, senior dues, announcements, pictures, etc. Senior contracts will be distributed and signed to verify the student’s needed credit and intentions. This is a VERY important catalyst to a successful senior year!
Warrior Sports: Check out the website for information on this week’s Volleyball, Cross Country, JV Football and Varsity Football events!
PTSA Membership: Your membership can be a means to effectively suggest changes at NAHS and to be involved in marking them happen. Through PTSA, you can be a more effective advocate for your student and all NAHS students. Membership forms are online at: http://www.northatlanthigh.org
Matching funds: Did you know your employer may double your PTSA membership contribution? Bank of America, Home Depot, Turner, Macy's and many others have matching funds programs. To find out if your employer has a matching funds program, contact Mary Kay Payne, paynemarykay@gmail.com.
Publix Partner Cards: NAHS Publix Partners cards can be scanned at any Publix location, in any state. The cards are valid from year to year and do not expire. Ask friends and relatives to scan for NAHS. The more we scan, the more we earn!
Falcons Win/Win: North Atlanta has a chance at winning $5,000 in cash, $5,000 in Under Armour apparel and a Falcons Pep Rally. Enter at http://www.hibbettcontest.com/winwin/. The more times you enter, the more chances of North Atlanta winning. No purchase necessary, must be 13 years of age and older. Enter as often as you like but enter today!
Office Depot 5% Back to Schools Program: Office Depot will grant 5% in credits to North Atlanta when you purchase online or at a store. Ask the store associate to look up North Atlanta's "Back to Schools" ID or enter # 70024645 online.
School Store: Agendas, mesh backpacks and spirit wear will be for sale this week during lunch on Tuesday, Thursday and Friday. Visit us at the new school store across from the courtyard next to the band room. Agendas are $5 and backpacks are $20. All students are required to have a clear or mesh backpack.
Annual Tailgate Party - Friday, September 25: Catch the Warrior spirit at our annual tailgate party before the NAHS/Riverwood football game! Bring a side dish and your lawn chair to the staff parking lot (off Northside Drive) to cheer on our Warriors!
A Taste of North Atlanta - Tuesday, October 6: This community fundraising event benefiting the NAHS Sports Booster Club is looking for additional restaurants to add to our already stellar line-up. If you know of any area restaurants that might be interested in participating, please contact Dave Gluck at glux@mac.com. The inaugural event features a wide array of Buckhead’s favorite chefs and dining establishments. Tickets will be available soon!
