There is a newcreature to fear in the water: the swimmers of the North Atlanta Water Warriors. This season, the swim team is devouring their competition! The girls squad hasshown the girls at Grady and Mays that they are a force to be reckoned with andthey are itching to make State qualifying times this coming Saturday, January3oth, at Westminster’s Metro Meet. But it is the boy’ssquad that is putting fear into the hearts of all the competition. Already, the 200 free relay team hasproven to us all that you don’t have to be an upperclassman to swim at theState level. Composed of twofreshmen, Samuel Boatwright and Dillon Maebry, one sophomore, RehanBhinwandalla, and one junior, Neal Shadle, the 200 free relay team came inunder state qualifying times by 1.20 seconds with a final time of 1:40.76. Samuel has also qualified for the Statemeet in four other individual events! Next time you dive in the pool, make sure you’re wearing the black NAHS suit and silver NAHS cap, because you do not want to end up like the rest of our competition, left behind in the trail of our bubbles!
