Put on your dancing shoes and get ready to hear some Red Hot Jazz! This year's annual gala will be held on Saturday, April 24th at The Temple on Peachtree Street.  

To all Red Hot Jazz volunteers........and potential volunteers: 


We are currently still trying to match our volunteers with their abilities and preferences into designated committees.

At the moment my focus is to find a few organized people willing to take on administrative tasks such as keeping a spreadsheet of RSVP/ticket sales, auction items, typing up descriptions and coordinating with program layout.  These responsibilities require a more consistent time commitment than other responsibilities. 

For this year's event, we would like to be able to offer our NAHS community on online pre-auction viewing (website).  We need someone able and willing to help with it's set-up & updates -preferably, a small team to accomplish this feat.

Photographers are needed.  We would like a few volunteers willing to take photos of the auction items for the website and coordinate auction acquisitions with the website team.  We also need photos of the musicians for the program.

Thursdays will be my designated RHJ day.  I hope to stagger meetings according to phases and committee needs.  With a totally volunteer staff there is never a one time fits all. This project is fairly large in scope and has quite a few distinct tasks with multiple phases and a definite deadline.  Ideally, the more people we can find to take on specific tasks, the easier it is on all of us.  I find that most people are willing to help if their commitment is manageable and finite.  It is human nature to hesitate to volunteer on large projects for the fear of finding themselves overwhelmed and in for more than they intended.  My goal is to help facilitate a successful event filled with camaraderie where all participants feel a sense of community and have fun in the process!

Cooperation and communication is crucial.  Please email me with your general preference for meeting times:  mornings, lunch, after school or evenings, and your skills, abilities or task interests and I will do my best to accommodate.  If you have not yet joined the Red Hot Team but are considering it, let's talk!!
